Upgrade Complete!

"It's like you made it just for me..."

Words cannot describe how much I love this. The only fault I can come up with is not being able to roll back upgrades. Personally, I prefer Graphics Upgrade II, but that's just me. You should have made mutiple upgrades for the background music, and not just music in general! All that besides, I love how you can modify and upgrade your ship and even assemble it in any way too. Customization and Upgrades? It's the best game ever!

First of all, could you squeeze any more advertisements into this game? An ad or two during loading screens are acceptable, but keeping a bar at the bottom constantly is annoying. And I don't even know why it kept asking for my E-Mail after every level. The last person to attempt a gear based game didn't have much success in the concept of connecting gears easily, but having to zoom in to see a connection isn't any better, especially considering the conveyor belts and powerplants have other parts obscuring your view. Despite the variety of parts to choose from, I still felt very restricted in that some parts don't extend, contract, or rotate the way I wanted them to. Positioning and modifying parts was particularly difficult considering the small spaces I had to work with. I like the idea of a gear based game, but no one has been able to make a good paradigm for one yet.

"Where am I?"

You must have had a lot of fun programming the animations. The dozen or so layers of projectiles, enemy projectiles, enemy units, explosions, fireworks... I couldn't tell what was what after a while. Screen flipping is a novel idea, but after half a second when you realize nothing's changed... it's still all the same. I also thought it was amusing that the ship has auto-fire. Even if it was manual, we'd all just be hitting the button as fast as possible anyway.
In conclusion, pretty to look at, but a bit too much so. Not much else to it.

... that cerberus is a 3-headed dog, not a snake. But you ended up explaining that in the end. However, if that was tryclyde, he should be red, not green.

-Gears-

"No challenge whatsoever"

submission: -Gears-
date: March 5, 2009

Well, it was rather challenging to fit pieces together that way I wanted them to. The connection process is pretty hit-and-miss. Manually sliding panels were more of an annoyance than an obstacle. Gear activated panels were pointless as we were already planning on attaching all the gears there anyway. The only obstacles were the pre-placed gears. Even though they could only move one way, all you had to do was place two small gears instead of one larger to move it the right way. There was nothing new throughout the entire game past the tutorial stages.

"Lame"

submission: stickBrix

I spent a good five minutes in level two trying to take out one last guy. I couldn't hit him directly because he had a bat, and the bouncing panel below him was impervious as well. Gameplay was pretty basic, but still pretty entertaining. Were it not for the annoying background and needless excess of blood, this might have been one of my favorites.

Super Mario Brothers ep 2

"Some good, some bad"

date: February 24, 2009

The animation was much better than the first, and te whole plot was epic. Mario's taunt was finny but kind of disturbing at the same time. And why the hell did you give him a shank?

So... annoying... just like your Awesome series. Don't get me wrong, I love Awesome as much as the next guy, but it's annoying in small, controllable bursts. This is just too much for me, man.
